There is no sign-up, account or form. We do not ask for or store names, emails or phone numbers. We do not sell data to third parties.
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-W1800DWESR) to count how many
people visit which pages. GA4 sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and records the
pages you viewed, your device and browser type, where the visit came from and an approximate
geographic area derived from your IP address. GA4 does not store the IP address itself. We do not
run advertising remarketing.
The "Near me" button asks your browser for your position in order to sort beaches by distance. The calculation happens entirely on your device: the location is not stored and not sent anywhere, neither to us nor to third parties. If you decline permission, the button simply does nothing.
Your browser's localStorage keeps your theme preference (light/dark), the region you
selected and a temporary copy of forecast data for speed. These stay on your device and are not sent
anywhere. A service worker keeps a copy of the pages so the site works offline.
If you tap “🔔 Tell me where the sea will be flat this weekend”, your browser creates a push subscription and sends it to us. We store only: the push address your browser issues (an anonymous URL at Google, Mozilla or Apple, depending on your browser), the two encryption keys that come with it, the region you picked and the language. We do not store an email, name, phone number, IP address or location, and there is no account. The subscription does not identify you: clearing your browser data destroys it.
We send one notification per week, on Friday morning, with the calmest beaches in your region for the weekend. Delivery itself is handled by your browser’s push service (Google, Mozilla or Apple) — the content travels encrypted and only your device can read it.
You can stop any time from the same button in the app: the subscription is removed from your device and deleted on our side. The same happens automatically if you switch notifications off in your browser settings — the address stops working and we delete it on the next send.
