Lourdas beach, in southern Kefalonia, is a large sandy shore at the foot of Mount Ainos. With its southern orientation, the view towards the Ionian Sea is breathtaking. It is an organized beach, where one can rent umbrellas and sunbeds. Suitable for swimming and relaxation, with calm waters thanks to the natural protection of the bay.

The beach faces south. With northerly winds the air flows offshore and the water near the shore stays flat; with southerly winds the sea builds up waves onto the beach. The coast is exposed to the open sea, so conditions change quickly with the wind.
